Kupata:
African-Inspired Online Store
Responsive Retail Platform (2024)
A full-stack UX/UI redesign of Travelong’s website and mobile app to streamline user journeys and enhance consultant-led trip planning

Project Overview
Kupata is an online retail platform launched by Lupievents, focused on promoting and distributing South African-made fashion, textile goods, and accessories to markets across Africa. The goal was to create a responsive and visually engaging e-commerce site that highlights the uniqueness of locally made products, provides a seamless shopping experience, and supports scalability as the product line expands.
The project involved building a full responsive website—with intuitive navigation, clean layouts, strong visual identity, and essential e-commerce features to support product discovery, purchasing, and user account management.

Reflection
Kupata stands as a celebration of African creativity, identity, and commerce. Designing this platform taught me how to merge bold aesthetics with practical usability, especially when designing for mobile-first markets with cultural nuance. I’m proud of how this project not only facilitates shopping—but also tells a story of community, heritage, and pride.
